A new series of exciting workshops that explore creating original choreography with Free Format and Structured Improvisation
The series will culminate in a collaborative choreographed work, to be performed at the Jack Guidone Theater in Washington DC on March 24.

Join us to celebrate the the arrival of Spring with Dance & Drum Improv Jam. This part facilitated/part free-form session will be led by Michelle Ava and percussionist Neal Peacock. Featuring a performance by ImproVolutions and invited guest presentations. Bring a drum or other instrument if you wish. All levels welcome. No experience is necessary. Open to all ages (elementary & middle school kids free if accompanied by adult).

Joy of Motion Dance Center celebrates 34 years of award-winning dance education and community service in a special concert, featuring a variety of dance performances including: AVAdance/ImproVolutionS, Edgeworks Dance Theater, Silk Road Dance Company, DCypher Dance, Raqs Jameel, DanceFusion Jazz Project, Soles of Steel, Urban Impact and Groove Elements, along with guest performances and a special screening of In Performance at the White House with live performance by JOMDC’s students. This special event is not to be missed!
